Overview

AWS Cloud Services team is responsible for working directly with our Client’s  AWS Cloud Services clients to transition and support their AWS operations. This includes upgrades, enhancements, cloud migrations, or AWS product deployments. The Cloud Project Coordinator will work with the account representative, AWS solution architects, and AWS subject matter experts to remove obstacles, solve customer problems, and facilitate AWS cloud transformation. This individual will work closely with Solutions Architects to be the client’s trusted adviser though out their cloud journey. The ideal candidate will have experience in both technical and project management practices. The candidate should be well spoken, open to new challenges, extremely good at multi-tasking, innovative, creative, self-directed, and a great team player.

Key Job Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will bring both agile project management and business development skills/interests to this position. Cloud Services liaising between customers, development & support teams

  • Work with clients to guide and support their journey through cloud transformation
  • Collaborate with clients and AWS solutions support teams to achieve cloud adoption
  • Develop a strategic vision and customer success roadmap to achieve long-term business objectives
  • Facilitate discovery engagements to analyze client needs, develop user stories and prioritize product backlog
  • Analyze and prioritize the AWS team ticket support queue
  • Be an AWS evangelist, who is passionate about educating customers on the value of  AWS
  • Work with the project managers, AWS engineering and stakeholders to ensure business objectives are met through alignment of the scope of work and the technical implementation of the solution
  • Lead the team in determining the appropriate processes and techniques to ensure effective delivery of the roadmap and customer satisfaction
  • Proactively work with stakeholders to create roll out, training & enablement plans
  • Provide support around the roll-out and adoption of enhancements
  • Understand and articulate a scope of work, AWS architecture diagrams, processes, and 3rd party interfaces
  • Collaborate and train customers on AWS support processes, tools and reports
  • Direct collaboration with customers and account management teams to formulate and execute on a delivery and growth strategy
  • Help facilitate hands-on educational sessions in conjunctions with AWS Solutions Architects to transfer knowledge to customers considering, or already using, AWS
  • Help manage new product development and service delivery projects
  • Facilitate the successful completion of annual AWS audits and continuous process improvement efforts

Required skills and experience:

  • 3 years of customer facing project management or product delivery experience
  • Experience with Agile Scrum framework
  • Basic understanding of current AWS products and services
  • Stay abreast of latest Cloud offerings (AWS, Azure, Google) and participate in recommendation discussions
  • Familiar with the concepts of High Availability, Disaster Recovery and AWS Cost Management and Optimization
  • Collaborate effectively with coworkers and other departments (Security, Networking, Data Protection, and Operating Systems) in support of customer environments and product offerings
  • Able to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers and co-workers
  • Ability to assist in some problem determination and escalation
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred skills and experience: 

  • Familiarity with AWS DevOps practices
